kirklees school ,salendine nook high have got the life routes bug and are using their next school production as a life routes project............
singers ,dancers actors ,musicians ,stage crew etc will get the chance to reflect on how their role in the production is helping them to develop life skills and students who wouldnt normally get involved in a play will be encourage to take part as part of the projects core aims........

calerdales PITSTOP project is coming on board as the latest liferoutes project to get underway in yorkshire and humberside.
pitstop work with a wide range of young people who come to their workshops in elland ,halifax to build and maintain go karts which young people themselves then take off to the race track in york to put through their paces on race day. the projects spread out over several weeks and participants learn a lot of practical skills, teamworking skills, problem solving etc along the way.
there will be over 80 young people taking part in life routes this way between now and 2008.
these projects are being coordinated by katie,sarah and carly who are busy getting questionnaires and scrapbooks completed ,taking photos etc in order to complete their own peer mentoring awards.

the second battered railway bench has now been pimped up in halifax.
calder high students have just put the finishing touches to their very own blinged up bench. it will stand (or sit !) proudly next to the caretakers block for weary students to use at breaks.watch out if you live in halifax....your seats are not safe.
